More acclaim for Desiring the Kingdom

Byron Borger over at “Hearts and Minds Books” named Desiring the Kingdom as the most important book of 2009.

There is also a great exchange between Jamie and Matthew Anderson over at Evangel (a blog of “First Things”).

Since there is so much great discussion surrounding the book, I think I might forgo my initial plan of writing a sustained review of DTK.  Suffice it to say, I think DTK is an important and ncessary read for Christian educators, youth pastors, ministers, church education directors and worship directors.  I suspect the current discussion surrounding the book is but a taste of the effect this book will have.  I hope that these discussions will have a far reach in effecting positive change in our schools and churches.  As a youth pastor at a new post in charge of both the children’s and high school ministry, including the educational and worship components, DTK has fundamentally shaped my ministry apporach.
